When going skydiving.. Pack your own parachute!
Speaking of packing.. no matter the size, weight or age of your trailer, you should always repack the bearings yearly to ensure you are safe for the road! A lot of costly damage can be done to your trailer when bearings are not taken care of properly. At this time of year we see countless boat trailers that have never had the bearings re-packed and as a result need a new axle and new tires due to uneven wear.
So be smart people, make sure you pack your bags, your parachute and your bearings before you hit the road!
